Trump has been fighting to have schools reopened, even with COVID-19 cases spiking across the country.  After the first debate with Vice President Joe Biden, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump tested positive for COVID-19.  Oahu mayor Kirk Caldwell speculates that Trump didn’t follow social distancing guidelines.

Before and after President Trump’s positive test for COVID-19, Trump didn’t honor the social distancing guidelines.  He was flown to Water Reed Medical Center where he recovered there for a few days.  Numerous news stories concerning the election showed Trump without a face mask in public; Biden honored the social distancing rules and has been seen with a face covering on.

Trump claims there will be a cure for COVID-19 by the end of  2020. According to MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, there is no cure for COVID-19 -- at least not yet.  However, there have been talks of a drug in the works.  It’s been called “Remdesivir.”  The talks have been positive so far, but when it’ll be distributed remains a mystery.

Trump has claimed full responsibility for the COVID-19 pandemic coming to the country, but he has repeatedly blamed China for the outbreak.  This is one of a select few facts that Trump is correct about; however, Biden claims that Trump knew about the coronavirus pandemic well before the country shut down in March, and told nobody.

“He [Trump] panicked,” Biden said in the first presidential debate.

Currently, Biden won the 2020 presidential election. He made it to 275 electoral votes, which is the minimum number of votes needed to become president. Biden is now our 46th president of the United States.
